Despite its compact body, the IC-M71's 6W transmit power can carry a conversation a long way. A large capacity 2000mAh Lithium-Ion battery pack allows for 15-16 hours of operation under normal conditions*.

The built-in BTL amp doubles the audio output and delivers a loud 600mW (typical) audio from the internal speaker. You can hear a call even in noisy environments.
Advanced waterproof protection
The IC-M71 offers Icom's best-ever protection against water intrusion. This radio has been tested to survive after being drenched in 1.5m depth of water for 30 minutes. (Equivalent to IPX8)
