Built-in ITU Class D DSC
The IC-M504A has two receivers, one for the radio and one to monitor channel 70 for DSC all the time. When a distress call is received, an escalating alarm sounds and the transceiver automatically switches to channel 16. The auto switch and auto tune timer functions allow you to control the timing to switch. Compliant to new DSC class D regulations.
25W hailer/RX speaker and fog horn capability
When connected to a hailer horn, the IC-M504A (or optional COMMANDMICIII™) can call another ship or person. The RX speaker function allows you to monitor the radio audio from the hailer. Four fog horn patterns are available for the automatic fog horn.
Submersible PLUS
The IC-M504A has improved water tight protection and extends the limit to 1.5m depth for 30 minutes, equivalent to IPX8 water proof protection standard.
Optional COMMANDMICIII™
Allows 2nd station or intercom function and controls all IC-M504A functions including DSC, hailer and fog horn operations.
